Video Game Wedding Invitations

March 4, 2010

Mashable recently featured a couple who share an immense love of video games. They decided that, in lieu of traditional wedding invitations, to create a Mario-inspired video game with bride and groom characters. They then developed BRILLIANT packaging and sent out the game to their friends and family. However, there was one catch! To learn about the details of the wedding, you had to beat the game. Check it out:

This video shows the perspective of someone playing with the bride character. You can also choose to be the groom! It is the same idea as choosing Mario or Luigi in the traditional game.

I think it is so cool that they went with their passions and even developed a “game manual” to go with it! What do you guys think?

Eiffel Tower Romance

February 26, 2010

Little Black Book Blog, you have made this Friday truly magical! This picture is the epitome of romance:

This couple is after my own heart! They had a beautiful wedding complete with amazing photos by Stacy Reeves Photography. But, they couldn’t get enough photos (sound like someone else you might know?—ME!), so they took Stacy with them on their honeymoon to capture the beauty of Paris! Oh, and they had a little surprise for their photographer:

I don’t want to ruin the complete story, so definitely check it out on LBBB!

Vineyard Wedding

February 6, 2010

So, when you look at this blog you might think that I am a little wedding crazy… Well, you are correct. BUT, in my defense, I am a bride to be that is obsessed with pretty things. You had to know that this was going to happen!

I just can’t get over how beautiful this wedding is. I saw it first on the Little Black Book blog, which, of course, is affiliated with SMP. There is just something about the light and the soft colors that makes you feel dreamy just looking at it.

Take a look for yourself:

Maybe its the buttery yellow dresses or the gorgeous tree or the pop of color in the bouquets… I don’t know but it takes my breath away!

And look at this:

Just look what they did with their lighting! It looks like a fairytale. *Sigh* This is what an outdoor wedding should look like. Click on over to to Little Black Book to see the amazing cake, flowers, and paper used for this wedding.

Here are all the vendors they used in case you want to check out their websites too:

Architect + Cake = Just Love

February 5, 2010

Oh SMP, how do you always get such pictures? You are one lucky blog!

Look at this amazing cake:

The groom actually designed the cake because he is an architect and wanted it to reflect his personal style. They put it on a clear box/podium and put branches inside which gave it such a clean, modern feel.

You should really go check out the rest of the wedding photos on SMP because they are simply gorgeous!

And, for a little more greatness, the photographer was Jasmine Star. Just awesome!
