OH MAN! Doesn’t that just make you happy! For those of you new to my “Just Love” posts, they are simply full of pictures or videos or snippets of items that I just love. Nothing more, nothing less 🙂

Valentine’s Day by Amy Atlas

February 11, 2010

For those of you unfamiliar with the brilliance that is Amy Atlas, you haven’t lived!… Okay, that is a little extreme. But only a little. Amy Atlas is the epitome of things that I love: parties, treats, color, and creativity. Just for some background, here are a few of my favorite Amy Atlas dessert tables:

The Little Black Book Blog recently featured Amy Atlas’ Valentine’s Day dessert table. Look at the beauty:

I just love how the frosting makes each cupcake look like a pink carnation. It is just so adorable. In my opinion, this is exactly what a cupcake should look like.

Just adorable! I hope that someday I have the pleasure of seeing an Amy Atlas dessert table in person. But beware, I will probably be star struck and knock over the entire display. Hopefully I will take a photo of the cuteness first 🙂

Heart-y Treats

February 10, 2010

I just can’t pretend to fight it, I am totally loving that this week is 100% devoted to Martha and her creative genius when it comes to Valentine’s Day. Now that we have all the crafts out of the way, here are some sweet recipes:

Red Hot Cupcakes

Conversation Cake

Spicy Cider

Cookie Lollipops

Conversation Cookies

Hand-Made Valentines

So, anyone that knows me understands that things I craft or put together tend to end up crooked, broken, cracked, or any other form of imperfect that you can think of. Spence likes to call these items “Carli Perfect.” Rather than be embarrassed, I just tend to own it. That said, look what I did:

First I found this awesome hole punch that creates a scalloped edge:

I took the pink paper and attached them to little clear bags that I filled with conversation hearts. The end product was (although rather home-made looking) kinda cute:

Well, regardless of the result, I am so glad that I made these. Before these candy bags, I can’t remember the last time I did a craft. Yay for pretending to be Martha for a few hours 🙂

It’s Coming…

February 8, 2010

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is coming on February 14th. In my opinion, any day where it is acceptable to wear pink from head to toe is a great day. Then throw in some hearts, chocolate, and roses and you pretty much have the shiniest day in existence!

To get everyone in the mood, I would like to share a few adorable Valentine’s Day crafts with you, courtesy of Martha Stewart of course!

Crayons + Wax Paper + Iron

Carnation Heart

Heart Candy Holders

This makes me want to run to Michaels and start crafting immediately!
